Yunlong Guo


I am currently a master’s-to-PhD student at the National Key Laboratory of Autonomous Intelligent Unmanned Systems, Beijing Institute of Technology, working in the research group led by Professor Jie Chen (Fellow, IEEE) and Jian Sun (Senior Member, IEEE). Before this, I received my Bachelor’s Degree of Science, majoring in Automation, from Beijing Institute of Technology in June 2022. From April to September 2023, I participated in an exchange program at the Technical University of Munich in Germany.

Autonomous intelligent unmanned systems (unmanned vehicles, drones) have broad application prospects, and the transition from individual entities to swarm intelligence is a major development trend in artificial intelligence. I aspire to use a combination of traditional control theory and artificial intelligence, following the ‘Perception-Decision-Action’ framework, and through the concept of swarms, to conduct research in the field of multi-agent unmanned systems.

  • Mar. 24th, 2024： Our paper titled “Informative Trajectory Planning for Air-Ground Cooperative Monitoring of Spatiotemporal Fields” has been accepted by IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering!
  • Feb. 29th, 2024： Our research letter titled “Level Curve Tracking via Robust RL-guided Model Predictive Control” has been accepted by the IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica!
  • Nov. 24th, 2023： We won the third prize in the inaugural National Cluster Intelligence Technology Challenge for the drone delivery subject “Swarm Express”!
  • Sep. 26th, 2023： I have returned to Beijing to continue my studies and research in China.
  • Mar. 31th, 2023： I have arrived in Munich, Germany, where I have begun my exchange semester!
  • Jun. 24th, 2022： I have graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree!
